Before buying this product, I saw a lot of reviews saying the tip dulled quickly. But then I saw that it can be sharpened, just like a regular pencil. Now that I've bought it, I realized that the tip doesn't last more than about 3 applications, but I can't comment on whether it can be sharpened because I don't have a makeup sharpener, haha. I'll have to buy one and test it out.
